CHECK LIST BEFORE STARTING
TO SECURE YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS
Inspect where the metal frame of sliding doors meets the stucco or concrete. Fill any gaps with silicone, focusing on the bottom of the frame.
Seal windows to prevent rainwater from damaging the wall beneath, even if flood water doesn't reach that high.
Seal the wall opening around the AC unit with premixed stucco. Apply an additional coat if necessary. Once it is dry, paint to match the house exterior if desired. For enhanced water protection, apply silicone caulk over the dried stucco using a disposable paintbrush, ensuring all gaps are sealed.
Fill any gaps in the wood trim around your garage door opening with silicone.

CLEAN OUT VALVE
If floodwater rises above floor level, it may backflow through all household drains, including toilets and showers. This water is highly contaminated and has a strong odor.
Preventing water backflow in the main drainpipe of your home is crucial. It is advisable to hire a plumber to install a cut-off valve, or alternatively, you may consider purchasing an air bladder. A cut-off valve allows you to prevent water from flowing back by simply turning a knob or handle.
The air bladder pump works like an arm blood pressure cuff inflator. Insert the bladder into the pipe and inflate it to seal the opening, stopping water flow. To remove it, release the air using the pump knob and extract the bladder. Installation takes about five minutes. Home drainpipes are usually 4-6 inches in diameter, but yours may vary.
FLOOD GUARD TAPE INSTALLATION
Measure the sides of the closed exterior door on both the left and right. If it is a double door, cut a stripe of the same height for the center where the two doors meet.
Assess the anticipated rise of the water level based on historical data and weather forecasts. Add an additional one (1) inch to your measurement for both the left and right sides. The same applies for the center strip of a double door.
IF YOUR DOOR HAS SIDE GLASS PANELS, MAKE SURE TO APPLY THE PRODUCT.
MAKE SURE THE FRONT AND SIDES OF THE DOOR THRESHOLD IS COVERED TO PREVENT WATER INTRUSION USING FLOOD GUARD.

IMPORTANT!!!
Ensure the surface is dry and clear of debris for a proper seal before applying the Flood Guard. After application, check that all openings are sealed and it is securely bonded to the surface.
Do not apply the product to the inside of your door. Continuous water contact can damage the door (warping, swelling) and the surrounding drywall (mold, mildew, bubbling) needing replacement.
REMEMBER: YOU WANT TO KEEP THE WATER OUTSIDE THE DOOR, NOT INSIDE.
